Hard to believe that ISORL’s last solo work of the 35th season, Tchaikovsky's eternal concert hall hit, came up against stiff resistance to begin with. Prokofiev wished to sing the spirit of freedom, vigor, generosity and purity of the soul in his symphony. The concert opens with a find: the world premiere of a work by one of the founders of Israeli classical music, Marc Lavry.
